Yep, it's a rubber boot but easier to put on than a Wellie, well made, good grip from the sole, comfortable and ideal for dog walking...probably better for winning the wellie throwing contest as well!!

Excellent for gardening chores.

This is my second pair of Dirt Boots. The first were great until the lining wore out on the heel after a few months. I was able to stick a thin patch on the hole and was able to continue to wear them until the rubber split and let in water. I ordered a new pair last week and they arrived very quickly. Unfortunately they seem tighter than the last pair and hurt my left big toe. I’m hoping that they will stretch a little in the next few times. I am normally a size 10 (44) and the last pair were very comfortable from the first time I put them on so I remain hopeful.

Buying the Ankle Boots on-line was a concern as when I last bought wellingtons I had to try on several makes to get a pair that felt right. Spending a fair bit of time in the countryside of the Pennines I wanted ankle length boots that were comfortable, waterproof, neoprene lined and with a rugged tread. Conventional ‘waterproof and breathable’ boots always seem to leak at some point and need drying out too. Being a shoe size of 8 1/2 I was a bit concerned about the ‘generous’ fit. Well with my boot socks on they fit fine and have been completely comfortable. Naturally they are waterproof and on steep banks in the current wet weather going up, down and sideways they gripped just fine. What’s more, they don’t need drying out afterwards. So from a slightly sceptical purchase I am completely happy with these and hope their durability matches their current performance.
